This page contains the information you need to know now about the 2023-24 School Year. Please check back occasionally as it will be periodically updated.
STEP 1: Please take time to read through the information on these pages of the website. (Notice the tuition rates effective August 1st.) It is important to be familiar with this content. Please reach out if you have any questions.
STEP 2: After (re)acquainting yourself with the information linked above, please fill out this form* with your availability for the 2023-24 School Year. Please respond no later than July 15th 2023.
*Note: where the form says "Full Availability" that means earliest possible to latest possible.
The form will send you a confirmation email including a link to view/edit your responses. Should your availability change at any time in the year, please search your email for the automatic link from “Google Forms” and edit your responses.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to put the widest availability possible and be as flexible as you can. While I'm not taking new families to Bloomington, the schedule is still very full. We all need to work together to help everyone fit in. Examples of things that help:
~ Those that can have lessons during the day while children are still in school
~ Picking your child up directly from school/care rather than waiting for the bus to get them home
~ Young children tend to do better earlier in the day - you may explore with their school whether you could pull them out during lunch/quiet time etc. and have a lesson then.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Calendar of Lesson Dates (Based on the calendars of MCCSC, Plainfield Schools, and my personal schedule.)
Timeline:
~ Now through July 15: current students taking lessons over the summer please fill out the availability survey linked above.
~ July 15/16: I will send out an email for you to check the calendar and respond confirming your lesson time
~ July 16-23: there will likely be several emails as we go through the final adjustment stages. Please reply in 48 hours or less
~ July 23: I leave for professional development then vacation, and I'd like to have the calendar set before then.
~ After current students have their lesson times confirmed, returning students who didn't take lessons over the summer may be added to the calendar pending available times’ and new students may join if there are any remaining openings.
Lesson Locations: as you can see from the Availability Survey I am teaching in Bloomington and on Zoom Mondays-Thursdays and in Plainfield/Zoom Fridays for the 2023-24 school year.
