Mid-December Newsletter Update (December 12, 2019)

Greetings everyone!

As we wrap up the semester (last lessons/group on Monday Dec. 16) there are a few additional details I want to bring to your attention:

Blue Jello/Music Mind Games materials:

The Music Mind Games website is having a 10% discount sale through December 18th. I will be ordering some new materials for the studio for next semester. If you would like me to add something to my order for you to use at home (such as personal-size Blue Jello rhythm cards) please let me know by lunch time on Tuesday December 18. I'll cover she shipping costs as my holiday gift to you, and add the purchase cost (minus 10% discount) to your January invoice :)

Here's a link to the website https://www.musicmindgames. com/ for you to peruse the store.

Holiday Practice Challenge:

The pace of life changes during the holiday break. You may practice less (I'll personally have nearly a week when I travel and don't practice) or you might be like one student who said today they expect to get more practice over break! Here's a link to a fun way to track practice over break https://lookaside.fbsbx.com/ file/HOLIDAY%20PRACTICE% 20CHALLENGE.pdf?token=AWwzEt5- QZZrAZh-_ Wf1RWYvRL6c6CTYmGZ9Yj67aop8L0s 03FxcKMt3wbpqH5d9ja_ NVNL2YRrhyzao- KfeeHlOWMJ7X8V1g0oxnq1eYHmNQth 6zo0RVXzletyja79rNYxOC6MucbppR GX1qa0W-u3t

I look forward to seeing some fun pictures come back the first week of lessons in January!

Fall Semester Practice Tracking:

Of those of you tracking your practice days - is there anyone who has achieved, or is close to achieving, 100 days of practice since the start of the semester? Let me know. I want to recognize your accomplishment!

December Invoices:

Thank you to those who've already paid. A reminder that payment needs to be made by Monday December 16. If you're unable to do so please contact me.

Book Graduation Celebration:

Laura Turk, a transfer student previously from the studio of Dawn Evans, will be giving her Suzuki piano book 1 graduation recital this Saturday. (Private event by invitation only.) She will be playing the complete book, from memory. Congratulations Laura on your hard work!

It is my hope that you know how special each one of you is to me. Thank you for the privilege of sharing this portion of your musical journey.

I wish you Peace and Joy this holiday season and always.
